While I was out shopping yesterday, I managed to trip/fall and twist my ankle. Grrrr. I hate that I'm such a klutz and that I almost always fall in public. I think I'm used to looking like a fool though. So, I simply pick myself up and go about my day.

I'm feeling rather banged up today. No trip to the gym for me. *pouts* I can't believe I've become such a dedicated gym person, but I am. I hate missing a daily workout. It's not all about the exercise though. That's a big part, but I miss the social time as well. It's my one chance in the day to really interact with people. However, I know better then to push my ankle. It needs at least one day of rest. I'm still pouting though!

I may go out long enough to buy a new ankle brace. Who knows where my last one went. It probably didn't even make the move from Indiana.

Thanks hon *hugs*

It'll be tender for awhile, but I've survived much worse.

I always end up twisting an ankle too. I hurt it a long time ago (back in my teens) at a Whitesnake/Motley Crue concert. I was standing on a chair (my first mistake) and ended up falling and twisting it and it's never been the same. In the summer, it swells when it's hot. I am sure there is some major damage in there!

Same here! I've been twisting my ankles since I was little because I'm such a klutz. So, now it's naturally weakened. When I was 18, I managed to fall and break both of my ankles at the same time. They've never been the same after that. :/

It's amazing how you learn to adapt in situations like that. By the end, I was able to drive (not well but I survived) even in a cast and hobble all over campus on my crutches.

wow!!! that must have been so hard!

My arms got pretty strong because of it. LOL Of course, they lost that strength after awhile when I stopped using them so much.

Ouch!!! I am prone to falling too. I hope that your ankle feels better soon!

Thanks hon! It's going to be sore for awhile, but I'm used to these kind of injuries.
